creative ways to get unstuck

On the little yellow couch

What’s your design process?

This week it's just you and me!  I'm going to share my process when overhauling a room design and then walk you through some ways in which I get myself unstuck if I hit a roadblock.  It's all about creativity -- where it comes from and how to cultivate it.  We're talking about problem solving in a way that feels great!

Check out what this group of fabulous designers did for this year’s Kips Bay Showhouse in New York. Some of my photos from my tour are below.

If you want to explore what colors are right for you, check out this episode with Lori Weitzner and her book, Ode To Color.

My friends at Retro Den Tulsa offer Collaborative Interior Design, using what you already have in your home. You can also hear them on the podcast.

One of my favorite designers, Natasha Habermann, shows us how to use our wardrobes as a starting point to discovering our style. She talked about it in this episode.

I’ve talked plants and plant styling with both Hilton Carter and Shavonda Gardner. Check out Hilton’s book, Wild At Home and Shavonda’s blog.

Here’s the Before & After of my Santa-Fe inspired den, which I recently did for the One Room Challenge.

Becki Griffin is the queen of styling and her episode on the podcast was one of my favorites!
