When Zandra and I decided on this month's theme, "Flora and Fauna", we were excited about the idea of hosting a Container Garden Workshop at a local nursery. Though Zandra sports the green thumb in this partnership, I was still excited to gather with friends and find inspiring new ways to integrate flora into my home. Of course, no gathering is complete without one of my husband's signature cocktails. We shared our event idea with Jason, along with the honeybee that was inspiring the decor. He crafted a wonderful alternative to the mimosa: the Beekeeper Sunrise Cocktail, which we sipped mid-morning while cultivating our container gardens.

Honey Sage Simple Syrup
12 oz Honey
2 Cups Water
1 Dozen Sage Leaves
- Combine in pot and boil until honey is dissolved into water.
- Let cool to room temperature.
- Put in airtight container and store overnight in fridge.
- Strain syrup to remove sage and it is ready to serve.
Simple syrup can be stored refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
Beekeeper Sunrise Cocktail
1 Part Honey Sage Simple Syrup
3 Parts Prosecco
Splash of Orange Juice
Combine in a champagne flute and enjoy!
