A Refreshing Winter Vignette

As much as I love creating a lot of holiday spirit in my home, I always look forward to the calm of January.  (If it were up to me, I'd start taking down ornaments on December 26th, but I get vetoed by my kids every year).  At this point though, 2013 feels like it's behind us and I've really enjoyed our "ReFresh" theme this month to get me going in a whole new direction.  For the January vignette, I wanted a lot of white.  Both to reflect the snow outside my windows and to act as a clean slate for awhile before diving back into color.  Of course, I couldn't resist adding a little gold for a touch of sophistication.  And and a little greenery.  It's never too early to start thinking about the garden and I like how my air plant and very tiny fern are just hinting at the warmer months to come.

P.S.  The white ceramic acorns and pinecones hanging from the branches, the white pedestal bowl and the small greenhouse all came from Terrain.  I had the pleasure of shopping and dining at their lovely brick and mortar version in Westport, CT earlier this month.
